SECRET COVE - MAUI

The magnificent Secret Cove is located on Southern part of Maui, Hawaii, just below Makena Beach. Also known as Pa’ako Cove, this beach is popular, but bare the day we arrived.

Suggesting where the beach’s name originates from, Secret Cove was difficult to find. It is situated between the beautiful homes of Makena. A narrow, black lava rock walled pathway leads to Secret Cove. Walking between the lava rocks leads into a small cluster of trees and white-sand beach with striking, jagged, black lava rocks creating the strong barrier needed for the waves to come crashing upon and the soft sand. Surrounding the beach and homes, tropical trees are positioned, creating a lovely backdrop. The horizon showcased the Molokini and Kaho’olawe Islands, which are surrounded with clear, blue ocean. The waves were the only sounds heard this morning. What stunning scenery.
