Christian Dior opens a new stand-alone store in Vancouver, British Columbia in the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, the first stand-alone to open up in Canada.
The two-floored boutique opened its doors on July 23rd, 2015. The first floor holds leather goods, jewelry and watches, and sunglasses. This floor is attached to the Dior Homme, which has a separate entrance itself. The second floor carried ready-to-wear, eveningwear, a selection of shoes and help a VIP fitting room and salon. The space of the two floors was well used.
The Dior boutique in Vancouver, hold true to its heritage, looking clean, classic and elegant at its opening ceremony. It’s inspirations came from Peter Marino’s design of the Dior Avenue Montaigne flagship in Paris as well as from palettes chosen from Christian Dior’s childhood home in Normandy. Contemporary artists such as Rob Wynne, Damian Garrido, India Mahdavi, Alexander Lamont, and Christopher Schank were used to design pieces throughout the store. A video wall by artist Yoram at the staircase was exquisite. Great to have such a stylish timeless boutique opening up in Vancouver, British Columbia.
