LINCOLN MKX

For 7 days I was given the opportunity to test-drive the new 2016 Lincoln MKX. Immediately I was impressed with the striking and stylish exterior of the mid-sized SUV, but the features found on the inside are what made it one of my favourite vehicles to drive. Taking the first seat I realized the luxury feeling of the unembossed leather and minimalistic aesthetic of the wood and metal accents. Taking the 2016 Lincoln MKX out for a spin I was impressed with the smooth handling around corners, push button shifter and quality sound system. The Lincoln MKX is equipped with a sound system that is able to give you a live music experience by choosing between 3 modes: Stereo, Audience and Onstage making your drive to work just like front row seats at a concert. Another unique and useful feature is the MKX’s hands-free lift gate, which if you have the key fob in your pocket you have the option to kick under the rear bumper to open the lift gate when your hands are full. What particularly makes the 2016 Lincoln MKX fit the Vancouver demographic is the Rain Sensing Wipers. Without touching a button the SUV automatically senses rain on the windshield and turns on its wipers. The wipers are able to sense a drizzle to a downpour and adjusts between 5 different speeds based on the level of rain hitting the windshield.

During the test-driving period I attended the Brew Crew event at Sea to Summit in Squamish. There, the SUV handled all sorts of weather, terrain and was a huge conversation amongst friends and colleagues. The vehicle became very useful to me for wardrobe changes between workouts and business and transporting Jason Sarai bespoke suits to clients. I felt that my possessions were very safe in the MKX because of the cargo security shade feature. I would describe the 2016 Lincoln MKX as a versatile and stylish vehicle suited for travelling and many different lifestyles including my own day-to-day commute for business meetings and events. I’d highly recommend this vehicle to anyone!
